THE MISFITS

The Misfits is a short story that explains the relationship between three people who do not fit in, who live on the sidelines, without following the rules, outside social conventions.

A starring trio, as opposed to the couple which is the social structure par excellence, having a relationship defined by themselves: loving, sharing, playing or just having fun without trying to find a specific meaning.

Maria de Castro

Maria de Castro is a young filmmaker and screenwriter based in Barcelona. Maria worked as a brand content creative before moving behind the camera. She is passionate about cinema and literature and loves to tell detailed stories while taking great care of the formal elements. She believes that the magic that catches the spectator's attention resides in finding the proper balance between form and content.

Her first short film, TASTE, was premiered at Nowness and selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. It also won the best screenplay at BCNFFF, and was among selected films at CANIFF and MILANOFFF, as well as released in the 10th Anniversary at Flux Screening Series at Los Angeles Hammer Museum.
