Kneaded incense pastilles or Nerikoh is incense meant to be heated (not burned), and dates back thousands of years. In this class, students will experience different types of Nerikoh, learn its history, and experience and discuss its material blends such as finely ground herbs, resin, and fresh materials like honey. Students will then make and take home their own kneaded Nerikoh incense.
